Overview:
When the ceilings of one of our customer’s ‘flagship’ offices reached the end of their design life, Steadberry were contracted to undertake a phased replacement programme and ensure minimum business disruption.
Ceilings were replaced over 10 floors and covered a working area occupied by over 1000 staff. Business requirements meant that the staff were unable to be relocated during the programme.
The scope of work included the replacement of the ceilings, but also the upgrading of the sprinkler system and light fittings, as well as partitioning alterations. Steadberry worked out of hours and no staff were moved during the programme. Steadberry instigated comprehensive building protection covering all desks, which was removed daily ensuring no disruption.
At the end of the project, Steadberry Staff, were presented an award by Merrill Lynch for maintaining complete business continuity with no disturbance to staff and delivering the project on time and to budget.
